08. How to Create a New Sales Quote

Introduction

A sales quote is a document you issue to customers for potential business. It can include product or services. A quote can be sent to customers. Once a quote is confirmed, it can be turned into a sales order which can be shipped or invoiced.

Create a quote

From the top menu, click on Orders, New Quote.

You would first need to enter the header of the quote like the customer name, date of the quote, validate through date, terms etc.

Click on Assign Quote Number to create the quote and then you can add the quote details in the following page.

In order to quote a product or service, it must already exist in the system. Create a new product or new service first if required. Enter the quantity, price and other details about the product/service and then save.

Repeat the process until everything has been added to the quote.
