How Versa determines if customer on a Shopify customer is a new customer

When a Shopify order comes in, Versa will look at the customer details in the order and then search in the system to see if the customer exists. If there is a company name in the order, It does this by comparing address line 1, city, and company name in the new order to existing customers. If all 3 fields matches, the order is imported into the system and associated to this customer. If there is no company name in the customer record (a person made the order), the system compare first name, last name, address line 1, city in the order to existing customer records. If a match is found, the order is imported into the system and associated to this customer.

If a match is not found, a new customer is created and the order is imported into the system and associated to this new customer.
