Feature: Undeposited Funds - Currency Flexibility & Optional Receipt Batch
Summary
This feature makes Undeposited Funds accounts more flexible in two ways:
- Currency Flexibility: Undeposited Funds GL accounts can now be used regardless of currency - they will appear in the cash account dropdown even when the invoice/order is in a foreign currency
- Optional Receipt Batch: A new organization setting allows payments using Undeposited Funds to be posted directly without requiring a Payment Receipt Batch
- For this, Versa has added a setting in Settings → Payment Receipts section> Receipt Batch Optional for Undeposited Funds
- Tooltip: "When enabled, a Payment Receipt Batch is not required when using Undeposited Funds. This allows payments to be posted directly without grouping into a batch first."
- Payment Receipt Batch is Optional When Setting Enabled. A Pre-requisite: Enable "Receipt Batch Optional for Undeposited Funds" in Settings
- Payment Receipt Batch - Still Required When Setting Disabled. Pre-requisite: Disable "Receipt Batch Optional for Undeposited Funds" in Settings (or default behavior)
