A Firm Admin reviews product matching before importing Amazon orders or sending inventory updates. A seller SKU identifies an Amazon listing; check that it points to the intended Versa product, especially when kits and single parts have similar names.
Before you start
- Access: Your company needs Amazon Integration and an active Amazon connection.
- Where: Open the Amazon store under Integrations and review its product settings.
How Versa matches an Amazon seller SKU
- Part number: Match the seller SKU to a Versa part number.
- Custom field: Match it to the selected product field. These are the two Match products by choices.
- Link Products and Import Products: If those fail, Versa tries the product name against the seller SKU, then the Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) in a custom field.
- Order import: If those fail, Versa tries the product name against the seller SKU, then the Amazon item title against the product name. Existing product links and the ASIN are not used.
Review and update a link
- Check a representative seller SKU against the intended Versa product. Include kits that have no part.
- Correct a missing or ambiguous part number or custom-field value with the catalog owner. Save the store settings.
- Use Run Action > Link Products when product links need updating. It runs in the background.
- Review the resulting links and a sample order or update sent to Amazon before broader use.
If you don't see what you expect
- An order line is unmatched: Correct the identifier used by order import or review the Amazon item title. Existing links alone will not fix it.
- A product is not linked: Check the store, seller SKU, chosen matching mode, and exact product value.
- An inventory quantity did not update: Check the status of the update sent to Amazon and the actual available stock. A link alone does not confirm that Amazon accepted an update.
