How to review production resource load

A production planner uses Resource Load to compare assigned hours with available capacity for people or machines. Use it when proposed job dates or existing assignments need review. The page shows planned assignments, not actual timesheet hours, and it does not reschedule jobs to fit capacity.

Before you start

You need the BOM user permission and your company needs the Timesheet feature. Select the correct entity and open Production > Manufacturing Resources > Resource Load.

Review load for a date range

1. Set From and To, then select Filter. The default is the current week. Review each resource's type, Capacity (hrs), Load (hrs), and Utilization.
2. Look for unusually high or low utilization. Select a linked Load (hrs) value to inspect Assigned Jobs, including job reference, hours, and dates.
3. Compare assignments with unavailable periods, skills or machine constraints, material readiness, and the production plan. Ask the resource owner to confirm uncertain capacity.
4. Agree on any assignment, date, or staffing change with the production lead. Make it in the normal job or resource screen, then rerun Resource Load to check the result.

If you don't see what you expect

• No resources found for this entity: Confirm the entity and that resources have been set up. Date filters change load values, not the resource list.
• Capacity 0: Check the resource's availability and capacity setup.
• Dash under Utilization: There is no load and no capacity for that range.
• Scheduled when unavailable: Work has load but no capacity; review the assignment with the production lead, or move or reassign the work.
