Anyone who works on an order, invoice, customer, or other record can attach a supporting file to it in Versa. The upload keeps the file with the work it explains. The underlying business action still needs its own approval or completion step.
Before you start
- Access: You need access to the record, and your company's plan must include document attachments. Ask your administrator if the upload control is missing.
- Where: Open the record in the correct entity and find Upload New Documents. Files already attached are listed under Related Documents. That heading may not appear before the first upload.
- File: Check that the file belongs on this record and is suitable for colleagues who can view it. Most records accept different file types. A product image upload accepts images only.
Upload and check the file
- Confirm the record's name or number, then select Upload New Documents.
- Use Browse or the area labeled Select a file to upload or drag and drop file here.
- Wait for the upload to finish and check that the filename appears under Related Documents. Open the filename or eye icon to Preview it, or use the Download icon to check the saved file.
Next
Tell the next person which record holds the attachment if it is needed for an approval, service decision, or other handoff.
If you do not see what you expect
- File did not appear: It was not saved. Check the selected file and try the upload again.
- Wrong file: Where available, select the Delete File trash icon and confirm the deletion, then upload the correct file. Pinned files and read-only lists do not offer that control.
- Upload control is missing: Check the record type, your access, and whether your company has document attachments.
