Anyone signed in to Versa can use Quick Search to find a record without opening its menu first. It is useful when you know a customer or supplier name, product, document number, or another distinctive term. Quick Search covers only the record types your permissions allow.
Before you start
- Access: Sign in and select the entity where you expect the record. The types available in the search selector depend on your permissions.
- Where: Use Quick Search in the header. On a narrow screen, select the search icon to reveal it.
Find the record
- Leave the search type at Search All, or choose a specific type to narrow the search. Firm Admins can also search Setting.
- Enter a name, number, or phrase in Quick Search. Review the suggestions as you type.
- If a suggestion matches, select it to open the record. If suggestions appear but none match, refine the term. Pressing Enter while suggestions appear opens the highlighted first result.
- If no suggestions appear, press Enter to open Search Result. It lists up to 20 matches. Select the right record.
- Confirm the name, number, and entity on the opened record before changing it.
If you do not see what you expect
- No results: The page says No Search result found. Try a more specific number or name, remove an extra word, or choose another search type.
- Record type is missing: Quick Search offers only types your permissions allow. Ask your administrator if your work requires access.
- Recent record is missing: Search updates may take time. Open the relevant record list if you need to check it immediately.
